Only a few weeks after its launch, RetailDetail authors Jorg Snoeck and Stefan Van Rompaey's "The Future of Food" were sold out. Don't worry: the second printing is coming soon.

The publisher Lannoo Campus has sold out the Dutch copy of "The Future of Food-A New Cookbook for the Food Industry" by Jorg Snoeck and Stefan Van Rompaey. The second edition is expected to be delivered within two weeks. For the English version, the inventory is still sufficient.

Therefore, this book was only available a few weeks ago, and sales are fast. Companies in the food industry are ordering large quantities of products for their employees. In RetailDetail, only a small amount of stock is available: you can order through this link. The supply of this book in some better bookstores and online stores is still limited. Readers in the Netherlands can buy it from the publishers Van Duuren Management and managementboek.nl.

"The bookstore should actually put that book next to the checkout counter," Jorg Snoeck said with a smile. "We have warned publishers that it will be soon: we have experience in this area. The future of shopping, which was named the management book of the year in 2018, has now sold more than 20,000 copies. Next year, we will publish a new one, that A completely revised version of this book. Printers have been alerted..."

The future of food outlines the future path of the food industry at a tipping point. The core question is how we can continue to feed the growing world population in a healthy and sustainable way. The top managers of the industry don't hesitate to praise. Frans Muller, CEO of Ahold Delhaize, made time for extensive afterthoughts. Carrefour executives Alexandre Bompard (Alexandre Bompard) and Jef Colruyt (Colruyt Group), Hein Deprez (Greenyard), Koen Slippens (Sligro) and Wim Destoop (PepsiCo) also expressed their blessings to the book.

According to the Institute of Agricultural and Trade Policy (IATP), large meat and dairy companies have done too little to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In addition, the organization stated that the European Commission's plan to expand the agricultural carbon offset program provides them with a free pass to continue pollution.

The marriage of French retail group Auchan and Carrefour does not seem entirely impossible: the main family shareholders behind the two companies are still negotiating.

Aldi (Süd) launched "Express" in Switzerland: Orders will be delivered on the same day, but shipping costs are required. By providing this service, discount stores are gradually expanding their online services.
